Dog owners in the clear over fouling
The city council launched the three-week offensive to crack down on owners who refuse to clean up after their pet. Since then, the number of people getting in touch about dog mess has dropped by 80 per cent.
The initiative included leaflets with controversial images on them.

Hide AdCouncillor Robert Aldridge, the city's environmental leader, said: "This campaign has been a great success and shows that people respond well to shocking and hard-hitting tactics.
"The posters and stencils have really caught the imagination of the local community.
"The vast majority of city residents are responsible in cleaning up after their dogs but this project was all about tackling the few people who make our streets unsightly."
