Dog owner reunited with pet he thought he’d buried days earlier

A dog owner was amazed to find his pet alive and well just days after burying what he thought were the remains of his beloved animal.

Jimmy the dog went missing last week near Edinburgh after running off, prompting Scott Walker to scour the area in search of his canine pal and put up posters asking the public to get in touch if they spotted him.

And when Scott found a flattened black and white terrier by the side of a dual carraigeway he said his goodbyes and buried the remains.

But when the 36-year-old received a phonecall from a woman who had found Jimmy, the two were reunited.

Jimmy, despite having lost some weight during his absence, is said to be recovering well.
