Dog check-ups on offer

Dog owners in Edinburgh are being invited to take their pets for a free health check.

Veterinary charity PDSA has launched its UK-wide PetCheck tour, which begins in the Capital at Figgate Park, Portobello, on Monday, August 6.

On Tuesday that week, it will be at East Harrison Park in West Bryson Road, before moving on to Inverleith Park on the ­Wednesday.

The following day, dog owners can head along to the Meadows, with vets available at Lochend Park on Friday.

The city leg of the tour ends in Holyrood Park over the weekend.
