DIY boost in store for city

A NEW home improvements store is to open in the Capital this weekend, creating 21 jobs.

Wickes is to open its 21,500sq ft Murrayfield store on Stevenson Road tomorrow.

It includes a showroom with 29 kitchens and 26 bathrooms and a large outdoor projects section.

Manager Pam Kaur said: “We are looking forward to welcoming customers through the door on Saturday, and helping tradesman and DIYers alike with a whole host of great quality own-label products.”
