Divino way to sample a world of vintages

VINTAGE wines are to be given a high-tech makeover at a new business offering locals the chance to sample some of the world's finest and rarest bottles.

The brainchild of local entrepreneur Tony Crolla, Divino Enoteca will serve wines from dispensing machines specially-designed to preserve the flavour and body.

Four state-of-the-art dispensers will offer around 65 wines by the glass, adding a technological twist to the traditional concept of enotecas, which are popular across the wine growing regions of rural Italy. Mr Crolla said: "This has been a dream of mine for a long time now and it's fantastic to finally see it realised in Edinburgh.

"We want to give the people of Edinburgh a chance to sample some of the world's fine and rare vintages."
