Divert US 'war on terror' cash plea

Pakistan's army chief has said billions of dollars in US aid meant for the fight against Islamist militants should be diverted to bolster the economy.

General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani reiterated that the army has ceased its training relationship with the US and has restricted intelligence sharing after meeting top commanders.
