Diversity on the beat
A SURVEY has revealed that 53 officers with Lothian and Borders Police are gay or bisexual.
The total number represents less than two per cent of the force’s 3066 officers at the time the survey was taken in March.
Sixteen of the force’s 1147 police staff also reported that they were gay or bisexual.

Hide AdThe police survey showed that 75 officers and 66 police staff have a disability.
Out of the 3066 officers, 2283 are men and 783 are women.
Meanwhile, the force has 44 officers and 12 staff members who are from ethnic minorities.
