Development takes award

A NEW development of homes at Western Harbour has been named the large affordable housing development of the year at the Scottish Home Awards.

Goosander Place, built by Port of Leith Housing Association, received the award just three days after it was officially opened by housing minister Alex Neil.

Association chief executive Keith Anderson said: "We are delighted to have won this award. This will give many families a safe, modern and affordable home in a desirable area."
