Denise Van Outen leaves celebrity TV show before launch

Denise Van Outen has pulled out of presenting a celebrity news show days before it makes its television debut.

The announcement comes hours after Channel 5 chiefs boasted of her role on OK! TV at a season launch.

A spokeswoman for the channel, which is owned by OK! magazine proprietor Richard Desmond, said: "Due to other contractual commitments, Denise Van Outen will not be presenting OK! TV. Both parties wish each other the very best."

The first episode of OK! TV, described by Channel 5 as "a nightly entertainment magazine show", will be shown on Monday.
