Demonstrators demand eviction of rapist

Around 100 demonstrators gathered outside a town hall yesterday to demand the eviction of Da Vinci Code rapist Robert Greens.

Protesters said they were furious that the recently-released sex attacker had been housed in a flat surrounded by young families in Dalkeith, Midlothian. Many held placards reading “Get rapist out”.

Greens, a father of four, was released on 27 January from his ten-year sentence for attacking a 19-year-old Dutch student.

He was dubbed the Da Vinci Code rapist after the attack near Rosslyn Chapel, which was featured in the novel by Dan Brown. The 2005 attack was described by the judge in the case as “one of the worst cases of rape” ever dealt with at the High Court.
