Death crash driver named

A DRIVER killed when he apparently lost control of a car and hit a wall was named by police yesterday.

Lee Stewart, 20, from Coalburn in South Lanarkshire, died of injuries after the crash in Lesmahagow on Friday.

Police said it appears the driver lost control of the vehicle which then left the road and hit a wall.

Three passengers - two men and a woman, all aged 19 - were injured. The two men are in Glasgow's Southern General Hospital, where one's condition is described as critical and the other as serious, while the woman passenger is in a stable condition in Wishaw General Hospital.
