Deal for £4m autism unit

A CHARITY for people with learning disabilities will join with the council to develop a centre for autism.

The Evening News revealed last month how the 4 million unit would be created at Peffermill. Today, Edinburgh city council revealed that Scottish Autism will be involved its development.

The charity's Jackie Tufft said: "Scottish Autism would welcome the opportunity to work in partnership to ensure the highest quality, autism specific service is provided."
