Deal opens doors for tech firm

A CITY technology firm is toasting its success after securing a five-figure deal for a pioneering product that provides a short-cut for radiologists.

Blackford Analysis has developed medical imaging software that automates an essential but time-consuming manual step.

Having demonstrated the product at a recent trade fair in Chicago, the company has now reported a four-fold increase in potential sales.

Two North American companies will begin integration of the technology into their systems in the new year, with other organisations negotiating to add the software’s capability to their product.

Dr Ben Panter, chief executive of Blackford Analysis, said: “We’re very excited about the growth of our sales pipeline. We shook hands on a five-figure deal at the show, with other prospects set to substantially increase the company’s order book over the coming year.”

He added: “One of the great things about our product is that it can be positioned as a cost saver, making it easier to sell, even in a time of recession.”

Blackford’s radiology imaging software eliminates patient motion between scans automatically, allowing the radiologist to compare current and previous scans from any part of the body without a time-consuming manual adjustment.
