Dead man's family sought

POLICE today appealed for help in tracing any relatives or friends of a man found dead in his home in Abbeyhill.

John Edward Higgins was found dead in his home in Milton Street at around 12.20pm on May 21, having died during the previous 24 hours.

Police believe Mr Higgins, who was 64, may have had family in Fife.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police are appealing for any information that can help them trace any of Mr Higgins' relatives or friends, who may live in the Fife area. Anyone with any information should contact the police on 0131-311 3131."
