Day makes a difference

CHARITIES across Edinburgh and the Lothians are to take part in Make a Difference Day on October 30.

The day, organised by Community Service Volunteers, aims to get more people involved in volunteering across the UK. Opportunities include helping in Barnado's shops, a community gardening day at Cuthill Park in Prestonpans, and a skills development day for charity trustees run by Volunteer Edinburgh.
