Dawe vows support for festivals' marketing

COUNCIL leader Jenny Dawe today insisted that she was "totally committed" to continuing to support marketing activity for Edinburgh's Christmas and Hogmanay.

Marketing spending is expected to come under pressure as the spending crisis continues to hit local authorities.

However, in her monthly leader's report, published today, Cllr Dawe said: "I remain totally committed to the concept of supporting our tourist, creative, transportand retail industries with major campaigns and eventswhilst recognising thatall partnersneed tooperateas efficiently as possible."
