Daughter to play part in search for missing OAP

THE daughter of a “very vulnerable” missing pensioner will today help police reconstruct her mother’s last known movements in the hope of a breakthrough in the two-week search.

Elizabeth Stevenson, 77, from Pitlochry, was last seen on the afternoon of 21 February, heading northwards in the village’s Atholl Road, near to Dysart Brae.

Mrs Stevenson, known as Bet to her friends, has sight problems and also suffers from Alzheimer’s. She was due to go shopping with a volunteer on the day she went missing, but her family are concerned that she may have forgotten about the arrangement.

Today, 14 days after she disappeared, Mrs Stevenson’s daughter, Fiona Kerr, will play the role of her mother when Tayside Police stage a reconstruction of her last known movements.

A spokesman for Tayside Police said: “Police are increasingly concerned for the safety of Bet and are hopeful the re-enactment will jog people’s memory.”

The missing pensioner is 5ft 4in tall, of slim build with ginger hair. When last seen she was wearing a beige-coloured jacket, grey trousers and black boots.
