Cyclists given safety advice

POLICE have issued advice to cyclists in the Lothians to help them keep safe on the roads.

Cyclists are advised to ensure they can be seen by other road users while on their bike.

Officers also warned them to get cycle and road safety training, and ensure they have proper equipment which should be maintained regularly.

A police spokesman said: “Cycling is a great way to keep fit, have fun, or help the environment, but it can be dangerous.”
