Cycle wheels are in motion

HUNDREDS of cyclists turned out for an event to help promote commuting on two wheels rather than four.

Organised by regional transport body SEStran, the Megacycle saw more than 300 people from Midlothian and East Lothian take part.

SEStran's chairman, Councillor Russell Imrie, said: "It was marvellous to see so many families and young people turning out. Cycling is something everyone can enjoy. It's a great way of getting fit and it's fun."
