Cycle route makes tracks

WALKERS and cyclists can now enjoy a newly opened cycle route south of Dunbar.

The upgraded path, which runs across land donated by Lafarge Cement UK’s Dunbar Works, is part of Route 76 of the National Cycle Network, stretching north from Cockburnspath to Edinburgh.

Paul Ince, senior transportation policy officer from East Lothian Council, said: “We’re delighted to have helped open up this section and encourage people to make good use of it.”
