Cut along to hair contest

INDUSTRY experts and lecturers at Telford College are set to play Simon Cowell to 12 hairstyling hopefuls at Hair Factor 2010.

The event will see the top three going on to the UK Skills Competition, in the hope of representing the UK in the WorldSkills London 2011 – an international competition that gives young people the opportunity to compete against others in their trades.

Hairdressing lecturer Rosemary Martin said: "This is a great opportunity for them to showcase their talents, they've all achieved fantastic work so far and I'm very proud of them."

Tickets for Monday's event, at the college Hub from 6:30pm, cost 5.
