Custody staff reappointed

TWO custody visitors who check on the wellbeing of prisoners being kept in police station cells have been reappointed to their duties.

Judy Cavaroli and Hazel Paxton will continue with their work until March 2014.

Fellow custody visitor John Webster has decided to step down and the police board has now confirmed his replacement will be Janet Clark.

Most custody visits are carried out at St Leonard's, Livingston and Dalkeith.
