Culvert work set to begin

WORK on the replacement of two culverts in Broxburn will get under way on January 31.

It is expected that the project, which is part of phase two of the Broxburn Flood Prevention Scheme, will be completed by the end of March.

A West Lothian Council spokesman said: "The first culvert carries the Liggat Syke watercourse beneath a footpath lying just off Galloway Crescent. The existing culvert will be replaced with a larger concrete piped culvert."
