Crime prospect for Prime Suspect show

The popular television crime drama series Prime Suspect is to be adapted for US audiences, with the action transferring from the UK to New York.

Actress Maria Bello - whose screen credits include A History of Violence - will take on the role made famous by Dame Helen Mirren, as the lead detective who tackles crime and sexism simultaneously.
