Crews plug leaking boat

COASTGUARD and fire crews helped stop a fishing boat from sinking after its crew found water flooding in.

A rescue lifeboat went to help three crew onboard the Shepherd's Lad in Dunbar harbour.

Fire crews were also called in to use pumps to stem the flow of water into the 50ft vessel, as workers plugged a hole in the base after Saturday's incident.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue said: "There was lots of water coming into the boat."
