Crews called to car smash

FIRE crews were called out to three-car pile-up in Drylaw yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters used a high pressure hose reel as smoke billowed from one of the vehicle's engines following the collision on Telford Road.

Ambulance services said all involved suffered only minor injuries but one male casualty was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The crash took place at around 12.25pm.

Police also arrived on scene but felt it unnecessary to close the road as the vehicles were removed.
