Crash victim named

POLICE have named a 21-year-old man who was killed after being hit by a car in Ayrshire.

Stefan Clark died at the scene on the B743 at Mossblown in South Ayrshire. He lived in the town.

The accident happened shortly before midnight on Friday

Police appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Sergeant Ian Lawrie, leading the investigation, said: "A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is currently ongoing, and we are appealing for any witnesses."

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
