Crash teens in hospital

FIVE teenagers involved in a horror crash in East Lothian were still being treated in hospital today.

Police said yesterday that none of the five youngsters had suffered "life-threatening" injuries, but said they were "very seriously" injured.

The accident happened at around 3.30am yesterday, as the car they were in travelled east on the A1. It is believed the driver lost control on a slip road.

Five ambulances and a specialist trauma team rushed to the scene and took three injured patients on spine boards to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Two passengers who were walking wounded were also taken to the ERI by ambulance.
