Crash OAP in hospital

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a three-car smash.

Medics and police rushed to the scene of the collision on the A71 close to Wilkieston in West Lothian after receiving an emergency call at around 4.15pm yesterday.

Following the crash, a woman in her 60s suffering from chest pains was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for a precautionary check-up.

Officers also closed a section of the road for a short period to allow recovery of the vehicles.
