Crash closes city bypass

A SECTION of the city bypass was closed this morning after an articulated lorry overturned.

Police closed off the eastbound carriageway between Dreghorn and Lothianburn junctions at around 6.30am.

Fire crews were called in to help with a diesel spillage from the vehicle.

A police spokeswoman said the driver of the lorry was not injured in the accident.

Traffic was diverted while police and fire crews cleared the road.
