Crash causes major disruption on Edinburgh city bypass

A TWO-vehicle crash caused major disruption on Edinburgh's city bypass yesterday morning.

The collision involving a car and a van forced police to close a lane of the busy A71 eastbound road on the outskirts of the city for about an hour.

An ambulance crew treated one man for minor injuries at the scene of the accident – between Sheriffhall and Old Craighall – at about 7:20am.
