Court told of 'traffickers' and city brothels

A SCOTS-led crime gang that ran brothels in the Capital spent £54,000 advertising young prostitutes that had been trafficked illegally into Northern Ireland, a court heard yesterday.

Adverts for "Hot A-level students 18-plus" in Belfast were among those advertised in a national newspaper, the court heard.

Two men and two women appeared before Belfast Magistrates' Court on charges which included controlling prostitution and were remanded.

The gang also ran brothels in Aberdeen, Cardiff, and Glasgow.
