Court told of 'bang' threat

A PLASTERER said he was going to "bang" a pub landlord after drinking at a village inn, a court heard.

Jasmine Read said she left The Dolphin Inn, in Whitecraig, East Lothian, with Lee McNamara around closing time.

McNamara, who is alleged to have murdered publican Steven Curran, stayed in the pub car park. Miss Read, 22, told the High Court in Edinburgh: "He said he was going to wait behind and bang Stevie."

McNamara denies murdering Mr Curran on October 20 last year. The trial continues.
