Court rejects delay in murder trial

A FRENCH court has rejected a request to suspend the trial of a retired German doctor accused of murdering his teenage stepdaughter.

Defence lawyers are seeking a European Court of Justice ruling because Dieter Krombach was kidnapped in Germany and brought to France on the orders of the girl's French father.
