Court escapee back in custody

A MAN who escaped from custody by climbing out of a court window has been caught.

Michael Davidson, 27, absconded from Tain Sheriff Court in the Highlands on 25 September. He was traced to a house about 15 miles away in Alness at around 4:30am yesterday and was taken back in to custody. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

At the time of the escape, Northern Constabulary said that Davidson was the responsibility of security firm G4S, which is carrying out an investigation into the incident in conjunction with the Scottish Prison Service and relevant authorities.
