The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Rt Hon Tony Blair, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for Young People who have reached the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Fellow, the Institute of Marine Engineers, this afternoon attended a Lunch at the Institute, 80 Coleman Street, London EC2, to celebrate their change of name to the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Federation of London Youth Clubs, this evening gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace and afterwards toured selected clubs.

His Royal Highness was represented by Rear Admiral Kenneth Snow at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Lord Catto which was held in Westminster Abbey today.

The Lady Susan Hussey has succeeded Mrs Christian Adams as Lady in Waiting to The Queen.

ST JAMES’S PALACE

The Prince of Wales today visited Oldham, where he was received by the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr L Duncan Lawton).

His Royal Highness this morning opened the new medical unit at The Royal Oldham Hospital, Rochdale Road, Oldham, Greater Manchester.

The Prince of Wales, President, later visited the offices of Ground Work and meet young people involved in a Prince’s Trust Volunteers programme and businesses supported by The Prince’s Trust, Shaw Road, Oldham, Greater Manchester.

His Royal Highness, Patron, The Norfolk Churches Trust, this evening gave a reception to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the Trust, which was held at Sandringham.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Investment and Trade, today visited Leicestershire and was received by Colonel Richard Wilkes (Deputy Lieutenant of Leicestershire).

His Royal Highness attended a Reception and Lunch given by Trade Partners UK at Leicester Racecourse, Oadby.

The Duke of York this afternoon visited BS Attwall Limited, Cannock Street, Leicester.
