Couple wrap up wedding with tribute to Tunnock’s
Mathew Watt, 37, and wife Siobhan, 34, spent £395 on the super-sized chocolate sponge cake, topped with red and silver icing to recreate the famous wrapper.
Mr Watt, an interior designer, said: “On the day, the cake actually got more attention than we did, but that wasn’t a bad thing. We were very happy with it.”

Mr Watt said: “We didn’t get to see it until our wedding day, but we knew with her we’d get something beautifully striking and a perfect conversation starter.
“Tunnock’s teacakes were one of those things you always remember seeing at your gran’s house and they’re an iconic brand of Scotland.”
Mr Watt, who is originally from East Calder in West Lothian but is now living in London with his wife, added: “There’s great heritage and an iconic appeal to Tunnock’s.”
A Tunnock’s spokeswoman said: “We’re delighted someone would choose our teacakes for their wedding cake and go to so much effort in making it.”
