Couple win £200,000 on game show

A MARRIED couple walked away with £200,000 after becoming the most successful contestants ever on Channel 4's The Million Pound Drop game show.

Sophie and Rick Dickens were awarded the cash after correctly answering eight multiple-choice questions.

At the start of the live TV show the couple were presented with 1 million in cash held in bundles of 25,000.

The game requires contestants to gamble the money by splitting it on the answers they believe to be correct, with the aim of holding on to as much as possible over eight questions.

If the money is placed on a wrong answer, it falls down a chute and out of the clutches of the contestants.

When Mrs Dickens, 25, from Cheshire, first started moving the cash, she said: "Actual 50 notes. I have never even held a 50 note before."
