Couple had sex on bloody bed after man was knifed

A JEALOUS lover repeatedly stabbed her boyfriend before having sex with him on their bloodstained bed, a court heard.

Charlene Henderson accused partner Gary Stewart of cheating on her after she found suspicious text messages on his mobile phone.

In the row that followed, she grabbed a kitchen knife from her bedside table and plunged the five-inch blade into him. The couple then had intercourse and fell asleep.

It was only the next morning that Mr Stewart said he needed hospital treatment.

He called his parents and told them that Henderson, 24, had attacked him with a knife, Livingston Sheriff Court was told.

John Barclay, prosecuting, said Mr Stewart had a half-centimetre cut on his head that didn't need treatment, a 2cm laceration to his right shoulder that needed three stitches and a 1cm wound on his hip that needed three stitches.

Henderson, of Blackridge, West Lothian, appeared for sentence after earlier pleading guilty to assault on indictment.

She admitted repeatedly stabbing Mr Stewart and was put on probation for two years and electronically tagged.
