Cops arrest Swedish man for being ‘too muscly’

AN ‘unusually large’ man led to police in Sweden arresting him on suspicion of steroid use, it has been reported.

Cops in the city of Malmo, in the Skåne region of the country, approached the man in the street after noticing his muscular physique.

The interviewed the man, with their suspicions growing when he became reluctant to answer their questions.

After obtaining a warrant to search his accommodation, they uncovered more than 20,000 pills and containers of performance-enhancing drugs, including steroids, according to local newspaper Skånska Dagbladet.

The man claimed that the drugs were for personal use, and denied being a dealer, but 150,000 SEK in cash (around £13,000) and packaging materials were found in the apartment, leading police to believe otherwise.

Text messages concerning drug deals were also discovered, and the man was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment.

A woman who shared the apartment denied any knowledge of the man’s activities, but was found guilty and sentenced to 18 months in jail.

Earlier this year, Sweden’s Justice Ombudsman (Justititeombudsmannen) warned police that ‘big muscles are not adequate grounds for arrest’ following a similar incident in Lund.
