Consular first for Capital

THE Capital has got its own Romanian consulate for the first time.

The Romanian consulate general is based at an office on Eglinton Crescent. A joint reception by the city council and Romanian Ambassador Ion Jinga was held in the City Chambers last month to mark the opening of the office.

The reception was attended by around 200 people including many representatives of the Romanian community that live in Edinburgh.
