

Couples were reportedly charged up to £400 for weekend breaks away at one of Scotland’s most famous beauty spots.
The suspect, operating under the name Kevin Beamont, used a website - www.pierlodges.co.uk - to entice his alleged victims to book what was presented as five-star accommodation.

Hide AdHowever, couples arrived at the site in Drumnadrochit, Inverness-shire only to find a dirt track that led to a private home.
The site, which promises 16 lodges with outdoor jacuzzis and spectacular views of the loch, is still up - but Beamont is believed to be in hiding, according to The Sun.
A police spokesman, who confirmed they are investigating, said: “We are appealing to anyone else who may have fallen victim to this reported fraud to contact us.”
