Congo plane crash leaves 53 dead

SOME 53 people were feared dead yesterday after a Boeing 727 plane crashed in bad weather at Kisangani airport in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

Rescue services pulled 40 survivors from the wreckage of the plane, from the fleet of the Congolese Hewa Bora airline.
