Conan Doyle concert strikes a chord with appeal

A UNIQUE concert celebrating 150th anniversary of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in aid of SOS Childrens Haiti Orphan Appeal is to be held in Edinburgh.

The concert at the Usher Hall will feature the Sherlock violin, created by Edinburgh violin maker Steve Burnett from a tree that grew in the grounds of Conan Doyle's childhoods home, Liberton bank House. The violin will be played by talented Armenian violinist Ani Batikian.

The concert is being held on 15 May.
