Players are being recruited for the next annual football fans' charity match.

The game pitches Hibs and Hearts fans against one another to raise money for charity, raising more than 40,000 since it was established in 2006.

The next match will be played on March 27, 2011 at Tynecastle.

Recruitment advice firm moves to George Street

A COMPANY that advises recruitment companies on payroll and tax is to move into an office on George Street.

Legal-E has taken a 10-year lease for 4169 square feet of space at 101 George Street.

The company, which also has offices in Bedfordshire, moved from Forth Street to the high profile building on George Street as a result of its continued expansion.

Geoff Scott, an agent at Jones Lang LaSalle, which acted for Legal-E, said: "There are few options with this location, quality and price."

Jumble sale at Ukrainian Club

The Ukrainian Club will hold a fundraising jumble sale on Saturday. Stalls include Ukranian goods, nearly new clothes, and second-hand books.

The event will take place at 14 Royal Terrace from noon until 3pm. Entry is 50p and includes a cup of tea/coffee or juice.

Price reduced on townhouse

A WEST End townhouse used as an office has had its asking price reduced in a bid to attract a buyer.

The 12,000 sq ft townhouse on the corner of Palmerston Place is now offers over 1.65 million.

The building already has planning permission to turn it into a block of 10 residential apartments.

Group plans its next walk

Walking group The Leith Walk will meet on Sunday.

'Education is key to use of smart meters'

A CONFERENCE in the Capital will hear that smart meters will only help to reduce energy use if people are educated in how to use them.

The Scottish Low Carbon Investment Conference, which takes place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on September 28 and 29, will be told that expectations that smart meters immediately reduce bills are "ill founded."

The conference is part of the Scottish Low Carbon Investment Project, a Government backed initiative.
