Community market sets its stall out for Dunbar success

A COMMUNITY market where home-grown traders can promote locally-produced wares is being held in Dunbar.

Named Gathering In, it is being run by environmental group Sustaining Dunbar in partnership with Be Green.

Besides stalls, there will be demonstrations, workshops and talks on matters ranging from beekeeping to local history.

Groups and societies are being encouraged to set up information stalls where they can update visitors on future plans and hopefully attract new members. Market organisers anticipate it will also provide an opportunity to network with other local clubs.

The free event, to be held in at Hallhill Healthy Living Centre, will run from 11am to 4pm on Hallowe'en.

A planning meeting for the event is being held on Monday at 7.30pm in the Gibb Room of Dunbar Library where organisers are keen to hear suggestions on how to make it a success.

Traders can book a stall for 20 a table by contacting 01368 836920.
