The official Games auction site describes the item as a ‘unique and rare piece of Scottish sporting history’, adding that the item comes with a commemorative metal tag bearing the uniquely serialised Official Memorabilia of Glasgow 2014 hologram. The small trampette has already received around fifty bids, with the auction expected to finish today.

Other props included in the auction are the teacake props used by the dancers and a replica of the Edinburgh cannon.
