Colonies in flats battle

RESIDENTS of the "Flower Colonies" off Slateford Road are to meet to discuss their opposition to flats nearby.

The Flower Colonies Area Residents' Association was formed to oppose the plans for around 100 new homes, including student flats, on the boundary of the Colonies.

They will meet on 12 January at 7:30pm, at St Michael's Church Hall, in Slateford Road.
