Colonialism event to be held

AN event looking at the mental health legacy of colonialism is to be held in the Capital as part of Black History Month.

The event, to be held tomorrow, has been organised by Saheliya, a city group established by and for Black and Ethnic Minority women to support those living with mental ill-health

It will include workshops and open discussions on the mental health legacy of colonialism, particularly for women.

A spokeswoman for the group said: "The legacy of Colonialism has been huge with lasting impacts on people, race, society, finance, faith and history in innumerable ways. The legacy is deeply interwoven into the diversity of many peoples."
