Coffee event helps heroes

MEMBERS of Tryst Patchwork Group in Oxgangs are having a coffee morning and craft sale for veterans' charity Poppyscotland.

The event is on Tuesday 23 March at 10am, at the Pentland Community Centre near Oxgangs Library. For just 1, visitors can hunt for bargains at the stalls, with coffee and cake thrown in.

Organiser Christine Ireland said: "The group has decided to support Poppyscotland due to the increasing number of servicemen and women suffering in the conflict in Afghanistan."
